POSITION SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

King County Water District No. 90 is seeking interested applicants to fill a vacant Commissioner’s seat on the District’s three-member Board.

The remaining term of the position the Board is seeking to fill expires December 31, 2021. The selected individual will be appointed by the existing Board to complete the 2021 year. In November 2021, the appointed candidate will have to run in the election to fill the remaining two years (2022 & 2023) on the term. The normal full term for the position of Commissioner is 6 years.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

Interested individuals must meet the following statutory minimum requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age;
  • Resident within the geographical boundaries of the District at least 30 days prior to standing for election;
  • Not an employee of the District;
  • A citizen of the United States; and
  • Properly registered to vote within the geographical boundaries of the District.

Interested applicants must complete the Application for Commissioner Appointment form, attach to your email and send to the District’s email address: info@kcwd90.com no later the February 19, 2021. The Board will interview interested applicants prior to making its appointment decision.

Board members are reimbursed for meetings at a rate of $128 per meeting (annual max of $12,288).
